Title: Associate/National Account Manager - Clubs Channel
Description: Hachette Book Group is seeing a National Account Manager (and/or Associate National Account Manager), title dependent on skills and experience, responsible for selling all Hachette Book Group Adult titles to the Warehouse Clubs, including Costco Wholesale, Sam’s Club and BJs Wholesale.
We are looking for someone who has a customer-centric mindset, is a strong communicator and someone who has a proven track record of building excellent working relationships with a variety of stakeholders internally and externally. The ideal candidate has a proactive and analytic mindset with an eye for detail. Strong presentation skills, commercial acumen and sales analysis skills are also vital to this highly visible sales role.

The position is based out of our NY office on a three-day hybrid model.

Specific responsibilities include:
Maximizing sales growth on frontlist and backlist titles throughout the year at the warehouse clubs
Preparing and presenting all titles to the accounts on a regular basis by maintaining item set-up forms and using the vendor portal for data uploads in preparation for sell-in appointments
Communicating with the wider sales team and Publishing regarding account activity and strategy and reorders
Representing the accounts at all internal meetings including Launch, Strategy, Sales Conference, and sales and marketing meetings
Running weekly and monthly sales reports, including point-of0sale, sell-in recaps, market share updates, and seasonal promotions
Requirements: Please apply if you meet the following requirements:
Minimum of 2-5 years of sales experience in an account management role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with public speaking preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills with great attention to detail
Ability to successfully prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time
Ability to work well under pressure, and meet strict deadlines
Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

The compensation range for this position is $65,000-$90,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
